In order to raise awareness and educate staff, a comparison chart of studies performed in the department referring to the administered dose, the whole body effective dose and the relevant dose equivalents was created and presented to staff at a department in-service meeting.
The information was then presented and displayed in poster format and placed around the department. Online accessibility was also created through the hospitals intranet, allowing non-departmental staff to also access the information.

A forthcoming review of staff knowledge after implementation of posters and education sessions is planned for the near future to demonstrate the effect of these strategies.
